Joe Pickett books

Any of you read any of C J boxes Joe Pickett books?

I think I've read just about all of them. Great books, never read any of the stories I didn't like.

Really like them. Trying to read in order. He also has another series about a woman.

The books have to be better than the awful Joe Pickett Paramount Series. I could barely make it thru one episode.

Just started reading them. My husband got me some for Christmas. Just finished the 3rd one in the series. I like them.

But I also like the "awful Joe Pickett Paramount Series", lol.

The books are good. The TV show is not.

I have not read the books. But a very good friend is a Box relative so I know about the books. I have watched the Paramount series and they make Joe look like a moron.

I enjoyed them. CJ Box did an episode on the Wardens Watch Podcast that I really enjoyed too.

If you like that story line you may also like the Paul Doiron books about the Maine Game Warden.

The movies make a mess out of some really good books.

Another example is the Jack Reacher stories. Reacher in the books is about 6 foot 4 and 240 pounds. Who do they get to play Reacher in the movies, 5 foot 7, 160 pound, Tom Cruise. Are you kidding me? I started watching one of the movies and couldn't take it more than a half hour.

My wife and I love those books, waiting on the latest from the library, about #50 on the waiting list now. John Sanford books with Virgil Flowers are also great books.

I like them with Virgil Flowers better than Lucas Davenport.

I guess you missed the new Jack Reacher, That boy is huge....
