Made it to Guadeloupe

Got in yesterday after a long flight and going fishing in 3 hours. The dream is a blue marlin on the fly.

I believe it is spelled Guadalupe, in Mexico.

Good luck - that would be a great accomplishment. It can be difficult to catch them on conventional tackle. Just finding one can be difficult. I will be heading to Kona after a short billed spearfish in a few weeks - the last one of the nine worlds billfish for me - all on conventional tackle

Guadeloupe is an island in the southern Caribbean and is part of France. Just north of Martinique.

Beautiful place and people are nice. Yesterday was a bust and very hot. Day off today then 3 or 4 days of fishing...one on the flats and the rest on blue water.

So French is the local language? I did not know that, just thought that all the Caribbean was english or Spanish too I guess.....jk

I think it was St. Marten is half Dutch half French, a lot speak French there.
