I reported my sighting to the MNDNR and the Three Rivers Park District. I made a plaster cast of a foot print as evidence.

DNR said "Yeah, sure you did."

Park District shared similar recent sightings, and concluded that there is no resident population; just passing through.

Not being negative or questioning that there was a lion near this location but... That doesn't look like a lion track that we have here.

For some reason everyone wants to have a Mt Lion or Wolf hanging around. I have seen way more tracks that people called me to look at that were the neighbors fat lab than anything. Look at the number of house cat pictures you see with people asking if it is a Mt Lion, even on here. You could see one anywhere, but a lot are something else misidentified.

Here is a nice cat print. I'm used to seeing wide more than diamond shape with toes almost in a row. I bet the person was a little anxious when that cat walked under him.

Not a super plain picture. But that is a pretty plain canine track.

You don't really want to have the government admit to having any "rare" animals around. They are really prone to restricting a lot of activities to protect any of them if they admit they are present.
