if you want to grind I would suggest a bucket trap

some have trap doors some a roller with bait put some bird seed in the bottom and they will be fat and happy when you go through and grab them all to shove in the grinder.

Snap trap I use any peanut butter and chocolate Candy but I wrap a little dental floss around the bait so their teeth get stuck.

for snaps I like the Victor easy set the ones with the big yellow pedal pack the bait up in the little cup.

lots of them I don't bait and make blind sets along the walls

5 gallon bucket with alittle water in the bottom

Spinning beer can covered with peanut butter suspended across the top

Couple of ramps leading to the top

Easiest way to get lot’s of mice for grinding

I have snap traps out with the big pan and glue traps I tried the 5 gal. bucket with a ramp and a wire across with PB but I guess they didn't like that.

melt some choclote and put on trigger then wait till it hardens or use tootsie rolls. it will usually last you a few mice

I posted on it a few years ago. I use the Victor Tin Cat knockoffs sold at Walmart. I just place them along walls and bait them with dry dog food. I caught enough mice, which I sold to reptile people, to but my second from the last truck.

Like a few others, I use the Victor snap traps with the yellow pan and peanut butter. If there are a lot of them little buggers I'll fill a pail about 3/4 full of water followed by a layer of oats, sunflower seeds or other small grain. Put up a small ramp for them to climb and let them jump in. Thinking the grain is solid they drown. Cheap and easy to make and also works on other rodents.

I put the snap trap .. perpendicular to the outside wall...and put a bab of peanut buttah and inch above the center of the pan ...on the wall. They have to step on the pan to get a lick.

I've watched them sit and lick the PB off the triggah...with out it firing

A little trick I learned with snap traps is to super glue a peanut to the trigger. I can catch several without having to rebait and it will make it harder for them to steal the bait. You can use a hot melt glue gun also. It doesn't have to be a peanut. I have glued a small piece of a cracker also with good results.

Bucket trap with a spinning can or bottle like others have mentioned. We put a ring of peanut butter on the middle of the bottle. Have caught a couple dozen mice in our garage at the cabin in 2 weeks.

That's how possumskinner caught thousands of mice

Caugjt a lot of en that way myself, but I think the ones around the house and garage won't go near traps anymore . They won't hug walls anymore either so glue traps aren't working.

I use the victor mouse traps with the metal pan or the yellow one. For bait. the best thing I have found is a pumpkin or squash seed super glued on just nip the end off. You will catch dozwns of mice without rebaiting.

Canadian sugar cookies work great for picky mice. Mice are a little bit like you and I- they like variety.

Set two traps side by side. I’ve seen them jump over just one trap. They land right on the second trap if they try that. Also, I use small pieces of plywood to fan out from the wall to make a funnel on each side.

But the bucket set is the high volume way to go.

They won't walk the walls. They just dart out of whatever hole they crept out of to where they thing there's food and then run back. I've watched it too many times.
