Xarelto , did you know?

that you are supposed to take it with the largest meal of the day.

I learned that today from the very nice pharmacist at the ER

I wacked my leg good last Friday , apparently the bruising made my existing 2020 blood clot that never fully went away restrict a bit more. so I called the Dr when my leg was getting fat after I had gotten it down over night and the nurse said we are full today go to the ER.

I had suspected it never went fully away , doppler confirmed exactly the same location as 2020

apparently Xarelto needs to dissolve in the food in your stomach to get to where it gets absorbed so taking it at bed time a few hours after eating may make it about half as effective according to the pharmacist.

maybe that saves you the bill I am sure is coming for an ER trip.

That is the only drug I have ever been allergic to.

I've been on eliquis for 6 and a half years after narrowly surviving a sub-massive PE. Undiagnosed diabetes was the culprit of the whole mess and I've been on full dose metformin therapy ever since. I strongly endorse eliquis for how effective it's been for me as well as a total lack of side effects. I just wish I would have never taken the covid vaccine because I'm still dealing with some side effects from that junk.

If you have a question about a drug, the pharmacist is the best person to ask.

undiagnosed Diabetes is likely a role in mine as well , when I went for my prescription renewal in 2021 the doc ran a blood panel and said , ahh your diabetic and you have been for a while.

of course I asked , didn't you think about running a blood panel in 2020 when I had the blood clot , nope it was May 22 and the medical establishment was about shut down , of course that wasn't exactly his answer , he dodged the question.

we run better diagnostics on machines and cars to make sure we have fixed an issue than the medical system , as long as your not complaining of pain , your cured the way the system runs.
