I shoot all my rifles at various yardages out to 400 yds. Then based on trajectory I figure my maximum range that I can shoot without being more than 3” high or low anywhere in the bullets flight. Depending on the caliber I may be 1 1/2” to 3 “ high at 100 yds. The faster the load the less high it is at 100 and the farther away it can be before being 3” low. However what I do once I have my scope adjusted is shoot a 5 shot group at 50 yds. I save this group in my notebook with that guns reload data for that handload. Then to check zero if need be I just shoot a group at 50 yds and compare to my original group. Saves alot of walking to check zero at 100 yds.
160 they aren’t that bad. I’ve got 2 and love them both. Come on man
I shoot a lot of 300 magnums of various flavors and 375's but those 264's with the aluminum butt kick like a government mule! Dang they are rude to shoot.

I'm just hearing for the comments about .270wsm/.270win
Seriously though glad to hear your liking it. Hate no one is really making brass for it as I would have gotten one for my magnum gun. But brass/ baren case availability is one of my top 3 criteria for a new round
Lil curious is they named it something like the .270 O'Connor Magnum is it would have caught on a lil better though
Also, 20" low at 300 ? seems it hits 250 and just dolphin dives huh
Works for me.Hold a little low out to 100 yards.Right on top of vitals at 200 yards and a foot over its back at 300 yards.
Hay for it work for you and your comfortable that all that matters was just saying that trajectory just drops like crazy, what bullet you shooting ? Also you using just a standard cross hair in your scope or something with hold I've points ?

My biggest hold up with it is lack of selection for it in the heavier bullets. Great cartridge from what I've seen but going to fade away if the industry doesn't start chambering more rifles in it and making more bullets for it.

2.5 high at 100 and 2.5 low at 200 doesn't look right either. 2.5 high at 100 should still be a bit high at 200. Hopefully, hunting in Maine, your shots will be close until you get this sorted out.

Very easy.Aim for low vitals up to 200 yards. Not much thinking there.
Most People shoot Heavy Grain To caliber and accept that as normal
Shoot lightest bullet made for Caliber and watch miracles happen.
Less recoil and much flatter trajectory.
While I don't disagree, I shoot what the rifle likes, not what I want. I have a 270 that I would love to shoot 130's in but the rifle shoots MUCH better with 150's. I have a 280 that will shoot anything you feed it from 140's up to 175's. Point of aim changes slightly at moderate ranges but it will shoot under an inch with most anything.
I understand what the chart means but what always cracks me up is 1 1/2 inches low at the muzzle. How can it come out of the muzzle 1 1/2 inches low. Doesn't that have to be zero?

It shows 1 1/2" low at the muzzle because of the difference in height of the scope and barrel.

Yes, and if you don't understand that you might be one of those guys who throws his rifle over the hood of his truck to check zero and then wonders how the heck he shot holes in the off-side front fender.
