Roll out with the tide
Both teams must of lost a lot of players through the portal.

The cream is rising to the top, the Tide started to roll late in the first half.
Looks like they might take the lead with that enterseption .

Re: Michigan VS Alabama - 12/31/24 08:01 PM
As predicted e payment of these kids and the open portal will be the death of college football. When your playoff teams can barely field a starting lineup with kids opting to not play…. Sad!!
Well both teams aren't exactly playing as advertised .
Bama got 3 so it's back to 6 point lead for Michigan.
Michigan will play the clock as hard as they can now.

The SEC...."It just means more" lolololol losing to an unranked Michigan team......while Missouri squeaked out a win against unranked and perennially awful offense Iowa .....I guess Bama didn't deserve to be there...and probably not Tennessee either....funny when you have to actually play the games...lolololol
Don't think either team was at their full best , with all the portal transfers .

Re: Michigan VS Alabama - 12/31/24 08:26 PM
And to think there were lots of folks thought Alabama deserved to be in the playoffs. I don't think Milrroe was/is worth 2.3 million in NIL money, at least not today. I heard 15 Alabama players and 14 Michigan players opted out of today's game. It almost makes one sick to realize what college football is becoming. I liked the day when a team earned a bowl game and their players played in that bowl game.

You said it nitty, im about done with the mess! Doubt Alabama wins 6 games next year, sorry coach's, players all leaving, whole place is a wreck and with all this money flying around i doubt it gets better anytime soon. I miss watching a young player come up through the ranks, id watch games just to see him here and there till he became a starter then watch him shine in his final year. Why ANY NFL team would want Mildew is beyond me, he's never been worth a flip and never will be.

The money flying around has been there all along, it’s just out in the open and anyone can do it now….. parity will be fun whoever buys the best team wins.
So plain to see , but some are so blind!
jbyrd63 So the sec is the best in the land?
Illinois beat South Carolina in a good close game.
Illinois beat South Carolina in a good close game.
LOL Another northern team showing the SEC how to play football?
Posted By: Jtrapper
Re: Michigan VS Alabama - 01/01/25 04:17 AM
There's not any northern or sec teams anymore. Player's move around from year to year, your top player may be playing for your rival next year! It's all just a screwed up mess now, you yanks watch NFL so you can keep the $$$$$$$$ flowing for these worthless games in the future.
Saw that too Nitty, im past tired of Saban! But everyone thinks he's the master mind so whatever. Got the politician's involved in it now so it won't change anything. All we can hope for now is the money dries up in the future when everyone gets tired of all this and it goes back to playing for an education you wouldn't other wise be able to afford.

Nope look back. I’ve always said the games not connected to the National title are meaningless. Participation trophies all they are. You Big 10 guys always get a lot of them. Remind me again. How many National titles you got in last 25? Heck 30 if you want to add another ONE title. While you’re looking that up just for fun LOOK how many SEC has over same period.
Heck you guys are just so high on success you keep forgetting that the BIG10 at one point went 4 YEARS without scoring a POINT in the playoffs!!
LOL LOL LOL !!! BOOM. Not an echo just another mic drop

Doesn't matter anymore who is what, which ever university has the most money will now win. Ga is so beat up I doubt they can muster another national this year. But they have Kirby so unlike Bama with this high school coach we now have they at least have a chance everytime they step on the field. Also who all is going to opt out even for that game? Might have third string playing on both teams, whole deal has become a big joke.

Re: Michigan VS Alabama - 01/01/25 04:35 PM
Saban saw Bama was heading in a downward spiral and got out while there was still a little dignity left. I don’t see this present coach lasting much longer. I’ve never like their QB despite the numbers.
Tennessee is hit or miss this year. One game they look unstoppable the next they look like a high school team could beat them.
Georgia’s biggest obstacle are the first three quarters!! That’s not going to cut it tonight or the rest of the year if they win. If they could/would play ALL four quarters like they play the 4th, they’d be unstoppable. To be honest I’ve never cared for Beck. Not sure what to think about Gunner. From the interviews he’s about as laid back as they come. He did alright against Texas, so we’ll see how he faces the challenge tonight.
On a positive note…what about Vandy?? Think they had their best season since I can remember or at least paid attention to, lol.

Geez you do know even THIS year with 12 teams a COMMITTEE selected the teams !!! Talk about a dull knife....
In 2014 the "playoffs" was started. Meaning a team had to win more than 1 game to advance.
