How about when you notice a bruise but, have no idea when you got it or how?

Before ya know it our bruises will have bruises. I fell on the ice feeding cows couple days ago . Pretty sore.

Left arm looks the same. Got’em from the top edge of a refrigerator I was pulling up steps with a handcart. It doesn’t hurt just bruised. I would bump vending machines down stairs 20 years ago and never got bruises like this so I can only attribute it to just aging. Bummer.

My forearms look like someone beat me with a stick...every bump, scrape, pinprick causes a bright red bruise, don't even know what caused them most of the time, apparently it's caused by thinning skin, and losing fat under the skin..first thing doc's ask "are you on blood thinners or aspirin regimen?" no to both, then they say it's normal aging...

I get those bruises that I have no clue how they happened myself.

The worst part is that nowadays I hurt all over more than anywhere else

I can’t empty my bladder anymore. Pee three times within five minutes every morning when I get up.

It's Flo max, tamsulosin is the generic name. See a urologist, ...with small fingers grin

Why would you take a pill? Peeing gives us old timers something to do!

I consider it a victory if I make it through the night only having to get up to pee once.

Re: More signs of aging… - 01/06/25 04:04 PM

My record was 5 times....3 was average.
When I had my knee replacements they put a catheter in, bud blood clots wouldn't let me go after it was out. Super painful, they finally gave me flomax after the 3rd catheter and that worked to help flush everything clear. So of course I was told to see a urologist, he kept me on flomax (tamsulosin) , and put me on Dutasteride to shrink the prostate. I guess it worked cause I only get up once at night now.

Only side effect is you probably won't be frisky anymore, or at least rarely, but if your not using it much anyway..... grin That's my public service message for today! LOL

getting old ain't for sissies....

I'm 85 and I never have to get up at night to pee. Must be lucky. Ya and I bruise easy and have bad shoulders and I'm getting a new knee in Feb.
