Good point I never thought of ...they should be protected.......how about over 21 adults only .....or years in workforce......or years trapping......an age to qualify posts and comments worth....

Not a good idea imo, and not needed. Tman has it covered, well. The kids forum and Trapper Talk. Kids can hang on their forum and when they want they can post on T Talk. Age doesn't necessarily equate wisdom or experience.

as a parent , no , don't list age
if anything was going to be done different , and maybe this already is , it would be nice if every kid who joins here is bound to a parent account or email so that all the direct messages go to the parent as well.
some of the youth here already give out a little to much info at times.
always remember the entire world had open view to most everything here.

We need to do all we can to encourage, support and educate young trappers. Trapper demographics are not good. Without recruitment this sport is slowly dying out.

I dont think that was ever a policy here. Just the location needs to be done.
Of course, generally you have to be 13 to create an account on most websites, which obviously is not really enforceable either. You just click a button and go.

What if someone is 16 and has been trapping for four years while someone else is 39 and has been trapping for one year? How will that work?
Just ask someone their age (private message of course) or years of experience when you want to know.
Just my thought in the issue…

Could be 10 and trapped for 1 year but had a dad, grandfather, or other mentor that's a rock star legend trapper teach them and that 10 year old will know more than trappers with years that are learning on their own.
I bet my boys could teach him some things if he is a newbie and I'm not even a good trapper. Just OK at best. Now take a kid with one of the reall trappers on here teach them and they will out trap my self taught hobby trapper hind end .

On South Park, the only people in the younger, age restricted groups are pedophiles and Cartman. Adult predators are probably attracted to groups like that, since decent adults aren't there to monitor what's going on.
