Called to get an otter soft tanned the price was 375 at three shops and had two shops who said they wouldn’t do it because of fleshing and turning the nose and lips. Just curious what prices are in your area.

A whole lot less than that!

If the otter is stretched and dried, send it to a tannery yourself. No point in paying a middle man.

Moyle in southern Idaho charges $46.50 plus return shipping. Unfortunately they do not accept green skins.

Moyles is Fantastic. Go there as wissmiss suggested. You won't regret it.

Why not get the self tanning solution from Scheels or Cabelas and do it your self.

I’m tanning six right now with another three in the freezer plus coyotes. This otter was 5’4” when skinned had one tooth that was cracked in half and cost me three hours shoveling mud in a pond when it was 30 degrees.and with a week old baby it’s hard to get more time to tan

If you’ve never used a home tanning kit, otter is not the type of pelt you want to start with..

I’m probably biased, but professional tanning is so much better than do it yourself, unless you’ve had lots of practice (like Boco).

Like I said before I’m tanning multiple thanks to the help of Boco

You can ship the frozen hide to Sleepy Greek mentioned above. I would call them first for a heads up on best way to package.

Had one done at Moyles a couple years ago. Shipping there and back plus tanning run about $75. They did a great job.

I agree with wissmiss, way cheaper

That’s what I figured I’m tempted to buy a fleshing machine and start charging
