Funny thing is I only set this one trap yesterday , I was out just looking for sign when I stopped to check a spot I've caught a couple of cats a few years back . As I was walking through the snow I came upon a deer killer track. A little farther picked up another deer killer track . And then a little farther a bobcat track . All heading right by the tree I was going to set . ...figures ...I'm always a day late and a dollar short ....set the one trap and had to get home. Those two long tails must have been younger siblings maybe , hanging together . Not real big tracks. All three tracks were less than 24 hr old . Not sure who was following who but the bobcat must have circled back . Some serious luck right there folks

Today I came across another deer killer track about 3 miles away. A little bigger track this time . And then another track about 1/2 mile from there , and then a third track another mile from the second one . These three tracks could very well been made by one cat .....but bare minimum at least 3 cats in two days in one area ....maybe more

Alot of winter range road closures in this area . Severly hampering any effective predator control.

40 yr decline in mule deer population......hello odfw ...HELLO...it's NOT working mad

Nearly certain I have those track makers here….

I really hope that they don’t hit my snares or wolf sets….

Nice catch. The antis all love robust apex predators because they want to eliminate hunting. It would be nice if you could start trapping lions like we can hear now.

You can tell it's a small lion by the $5 bill it dropped. The big boys in my area drop $20's.
