Wind and more wind

For the next 24 hours we are to experience wind with gusts up to 50 MPH.

It is very windy here too with a little snow. Lights were flickering a minute ago. Stay in and cozy!!

We do that here almost every week year round. If it is under 20 mph we thing it is calm. Try it when it is -25 or colder and let me know what you think. They are showing -33 tonight and a 20-30 mph wind. Look that chill factor up. It does show a warm up coming after three nights of -32 or colder.

Windy here in southeast PA too. There's already power outages all over the area. Our provider (Met-Ed) sucks.

Now they are saying the wind is blowing at 60 MPH. So far, no power outage here, knock on wood.

We had the snow but the wind didn’t develop like they thought, this week is supposed to below zero, I hope the wind leaves you before the cold gets out there.

Anyone have a ladder that'll go 27 feet ?

How did you do that, were you sweeping from the bottom?

I got the brush stuck about seven-feet down a neighbors chimney last week. I've swept his chimney many times without issue. He hadn't had me clean it in a long time, too long. It was really creosoted up.

Brush went it and jammed. I had to use a vice-grip on the fiberglass rod and a flat bar to pry it back out. Told him he needed to call a professional.

Speaking of chimney cleaning I used a chain here a couple weeks ago got it pretty good.

I'm thinking that's what whoever the neighbor with the clogged chimney had come out did, a chain or something similar. It was too clogged for a regular brush.

I saw thew cap was back one when I drove by but didn't get t talk to him yet to see how they got it cleaned.

My power went out about an hour ago, running on genny now.

Almost 30,000 out in my area.

Did I mention Met-Ed sucks?

High winds here today also

My power went out at 08:30 PM more or less. It just came back on. It is -28, but the wind is only 10-15mph.

Still out here. It's going to be a while.
