Time to start getting bait ready for the summer. We have snow on the ground again so I'm glad I took the opportunity when it was available.

ok what is the light anything special? I see all the worm holes in my dirt in the morning but have to admit other than the sidewalks and drive I haven't picked much for worms

Just a rechargeable headlamp with a red led mode. The red doesn't spook the worms as fast and I try to pick early in the season because when they are cold they are slower, still quick but slower.

Green light is also good for catching crawler's
I have to wear kneepads and crawl on all 4s to save my back from the stooping over

I use a flashlight that has both red and white. For me it's easier to locate crawlers with the white light, and then when I find some I switch to red and get close enough to nab em.

Knee pads on all 4s is the only way any more. Had back surgery a few years back.
most of my garden I can go get enough to fish digging a few shovels , I will have to try them on the surface , when it quits raining

Nice video Trap Setter. I'll have to get out there but I'll wait for it to get a little warmer.

44 degrees is the magic number. They will come all the way out and they move SLOW the warmer the faster the are. If you start at 11 or 12. most will be all the way out. If not just go on to the next one. I used to try for a 1,000 but never got that many, I did hit 850 2 or 3 times when I was a LOT younger. Me too now I am down on all four wearing my hipper. I used to tape milk cartons on each leg and just move along picking them up. We sold them for 2 cents apiece in the '50's. Cut you lawn real short on pick up days.....jk
