Coming up to the end of beaver season

April 30 the last day in my area. Still been going out and moving traps around.



Went to a new spot today and found 2 lodges where I thought there would be 1 so that was a nice bonus.

Was setting a dam crossover when I turned around and saw a beaver about 15 feet away. Luckily I had my gun so I could stand around and do nothing about it. (There wasn't really a shot but theres something about it being so close that makes it feel like an opportunity lost.)

Looks like you're living the good life.

You know it. Plus May will have halibut and possibly some salmon so I'm going straight from trapping to fishing season.

Figured it’d be open later over there. I’m gonna start setting for them once they poke a hole in the ice somewhere on my pond

Things here are finally opened up going to start next week.
