I think not. 180,000 rounds in a van driven by Mexican nationals.

This has drug cartels written all over it.

That was a pair of mules........didn't know intent, only destination of 180,000 rounds of 308? That runs AK-47's and such. That is some serious fire power.

And headed for gun averse CO no less. Will be curious to see if the guvnor and other leftist running the show will throw the book at em or take their side?

Hopefully feds get to the bottom of it. If there is a cartel militia gearing up to do business, would be nice to know it.

Didn’t a couple semis loaded with ammo get jacked in down in Mexico a few years ago I wonder if this is part of that?

Just to play devil's advocate, what if this was 2 Bubba's from the South that got pulled over with the same quantity of ammo? AK's use 7.62x39 ammo. M-1A's use 308. There are more 308 target rifles in service than there are M1A's. Now granted, I read because of their legal status they were not allowed to possess ammo or firearms but the quantity of ammo itself isn't a crime.

Would probably be intending to resell at gun shows or something having bought it cheap cause of volume. I doubt that was the case with a pair of illegals.

It was a crime for them to purchase it regardless of intent.

They can’t possess ammo what about their constitutional right that illegals suddenly have been granted? LOL

Fremont county sheriff is gun friendly. They may auction it off.

P.S. Lawdog, so far as I know preventing illegals from buying possessing firearms and ammo is no different than preventing the guy convicted of cooking the books at the hardware store from possession.

Just thinking they the courts are handing out citizenship rights to people here illegally it’s just nuts what the come up with now they want an illegal back from his own country how does that work? Crazy days came early. LOL
