Peaches
I bought some fresh, local peaches yesterday for a very good price. I was planning on making a peach pie, and probably still will. But, does anyone else have any recipes or ideas of what to use peaches for? I'm going back to town tomorrow and can probably buy more if anyone has any good suggestions for using them.
My wife always cans a couple cases every year.
I can and dry some every year. Also make jam and jelly with some.

Jam and smoothies. You don't even need to peel them. I shouldn't be giving advice on jam LOL
Cut unpeeled peaches and cut them into slices. Place them on cookie sheets and freeze them. Then put into zip lock bags and return to the freezer. You can even use them for making pies later on.
Placing them on parchment paper will make it easier to remove from the cookie sheets.

They make a fine moonshine, so I’m told.

And in Poland, peach vodka is served ice cold as a dessert drink to settle the stomach after a rich meal with friends.

I would can the peaches in sugar syrup made to your preferred sweetness level. That's my favorite way to eat peaches after fresh.

I love frozen peaches. Can take a few slices out and have with a bowl of vanilla ice cream. Course homemade ice cream and peaches hard to beat.
I like peaches and cottage cheese for breakfast as well
I second on the homemade ice cream with peaches. Only second to Ripen strawberries in home made ice cream.
Peaches and blueberries pair very well together. Fresh, frozen, dehydrated. In a cobbler, blueberry and peach together with home made ice cream probably my #1 favorite
You might as well just go get more...I don't think you can go wrong with peaches.

Peach cobbler all day!
Texas peaches FTW!
Slice them, add some sugar and freeze them. They are great right out of the freezer about half thawed out. Of course, you can use them lots of other ways too after freezing.
A frozen daiquiri made with fresh tree ripe peaches is as good as it gets of a hot day.

I've done peach crisp, peach upside down cake, and grilled peaches.
Peach jalepeno jam. Some peach jalepeno jam, cream cheese, on a cracker pretty good. Peach jalepeno makes a good sauce on pork or chicken when smoking

I like to vacuum-seal them when they're very ripe then use them in my oatmeal at breakfast all winter. I slice them and freeze them before vacuum-sealing to avoid getting all the juice in the vacuum sealer.
I like peaches and cottage cheese for breakfast as well
I like a cottage cheese omelette. I never thought of cottage cheese and peaches but it sounds like it might be a good combination.

Peach ice cream. I can't go a summer without making a few batches of homemade peach ice cream. I like the custard ice cream with heavy cream and egg.
Coming up mama canned them in heavy syrup or pickled them. I love a good pickled peach. Blood peaches are the best for pickled peaches.

For some odd reason those canned peaches never lasted long, lol.

That was the very first thing that popped into my mind too.
Peaches are quick to spoil , so make a pie, a cobbler, a crisp , and can as soon as possible.
That is if any left from eating fresh.
Peach juice and red raspberry juice mixed 1/2 and 1/2 in a jam or jelly is awesome.
I used to have two acres of peaches and nectarines. The toughest thing was picking tree ripe peaches and having people handling them and squeezing them to see if they were ripe. Usually women shoppers were the culprits. I always wanted to post a sign in front of my peaches saying..."If you squeeze my peaches I'll squeeze yours"! ....But never had the balls to do it.
Coons and squirrels and birds must really like peaches - they get all mine
