FTA convention - 07/10/25 11:09 PM

Well I booked a room for the boy and I. Looking forward to all the demos and hopefully being able to pick up supplies that we need this year. My son has a big list. Trapping for wildlife conservation is going to be his FFA project this year. About a 6 hour drive but should be a great time

Sounds like a really sound FFA project, good exposure for the trapping community to people that likely know nothing about what we do. I'm looking forward to the FTA as well. I'll be there with my four kiddos, and helping control two nieces and one nephew. Ought to be a real good time.

Come see us Sigpros! We will be there tailgating with thousands of used traps. I’ll make that boy a good deal. Anything in particular he’s looking for?

We will stop buy. We watched your otter demo in Kansas a couple years ago and really liked it. I will have to get his list when he gets home. He is in Washington DC this week for FFA. But I know he wants some more #11 and he needs some beaver footholds. A couple of the farmers want him to trap some beavers for them. Neither of us know anything about trapping beavers. He has started a list and we hope to get everything while we are there. He also needs trap dip and probably some more lure and baits.

We have only trapped raccoons and muskrats mainly. He did trap a coyote and a red fox last year in the back pasture.

He went to a leadership camp and gave a report on trapping and wildlife management and the lady there was looking forward to his report this fall after season. He also wrote a paper for one of his college English classes on the impacts of trapping and wildlife management. He will be a senior in high school this year and is wanting to run a big line for him he has set some pretty big goals and I want to help him achieve those.

Man the clock is moving slow. Ready to get off work get home load the bronco and get a good night sleep. After I get out of the barber tomorrow and get a shower we will be headed out. Looking forward to this convention.

The dinner Friday night is it open to new people? Can we purchase tickets there?

Looking forward to gaining some knowledge and meeting some people
