They quit making siracha for a while. I like it on hamburgers and hot dogs. Has a nice consistency

On a cracker, no less.
Ol’ Chancy sent some my way with boudin that was to die for. As far as my love of hot sauce goes, it’s love/hate. I love it at chow time, hate it afterwards.

I like Frank's Red Hot best. I like and use Sriracha too. I frequently eat mildly hot peppers like jalapenos and Hungarian hot wax. I mostly avoid the insanely hot stuff.

My favorite was the Sircha garlic chili sauce. Haven’t seen it on the shelves lately though. Been using Stale Crackers RougXGarouX lately. The Gatordrool is really good also.

We haven't been able to find the Sriracha we like lately either. I looked it up. Apparently there is a shortage of the chili peppers they use. It's still being made, but not enough is being made to meet the demand.

The smoked Tabasco that says Chipotle is my go to on everything.
Franks is okay.
My dad picked up a smoked barbecue hot sauce bottle at a Renys in maine that was my favorite.

I make my own salsa. I make large batches at a time and take out about 1/3rd for mild, 1/3rd for medium, 1/3rd for hot. I do this by adding more of the hot peppers with seeds. I will admit I like the medium the best, so I don't make much real hot.

Re: Hot sauce - 08/11/25 02:56 PM
Shrirroca for red hot sauce, the one with the rooster on the bottle.
Sweet Hot Beaver mustard for Brats, hot dogs, and what-not.
Always called it rooster sauce.
Tabasco, Sriracha, Truff and the smoked Chipotle Tabasco are all real solid.
Crystal is also real good.
Cholula and Melindas have both changed I feel. Used to be better. Now they're pretty mild.

Re: Hot sauce - 08/12/25 02:17 AM
I love hot sauce and have normally a dozen or so open bottles in rotation. Currently I like Cholula if you want a hot sauce without heat. Aardvark has some heat and smokey flavor without a liquid smoke flavor and its great on chimichangas. I like yellowbird in lieu of tomato's on some dishes as it seems to have a tomato base and is not very hot. Lately I have put some tingly teds on my eggs and found that good, i think that has Worcestershire sauce in it but it works. There is really an endless list but these are a few.
