…still not sure why he left

Re: In Remembrance Of Mark June - 09/03/25 10:57 PM

I think he got tired of people that got tired of being told they needed to find the light. Or something like that.

… that’s what he was into … not sure someone disagreeing is a reason to drag up

… he had good trapping posts in the winter

He believed in some pretty conditional doctrine, and only one path to Heaven....We kicked that can around some, and I think he hates me....Yep, he hates me, Lol. grin

I think he left of his own free will, no one drove him off.

I wish I would have kept count how many times he told us how the Seminary College he was going to was the greatest College there was or how many important people had graduated from it. He really didn't need to tell me because I could tell by the way he corrected us when we didnt quite get it right. Probably wasn't polite for us heathens and common folk to way in our opinions when we had a scholar amongst us.

But on the flip side he would bring religious posts into others threads when they weren't asked for, nor needed.

Mark is a good guy and a hardworking trapper.

No need to hate on the man because he wants to tell people that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.

Mark is a big part of the reason I'm married with two little girls. He's a great guy who sometimes can get a bit wordy, being that half the people on this site are borderline illiterate that tends to set them off.

Re: In Remembrance Of Mark June - 09/04/25 12:52 AM

Great guy and excellent trapper with a lot of knowledge to share. He got me started. I still use what he taught me.

He did get a little preachy but his heart was in the right place.

He was at the MI convention couple of weeks ago, and I had good conversations with him. He's doing well and still traps every season. He's got a sweet trapping deal in TX.

Plus, when he's not on here to defend himself.

A genuine guy who loves the Lord. Nothing wrong with that in my book.

Re: In Remembrance Of Mark June - 09/04/25 01:08 AM

The man attended/completed theological college to enhance his understanding of God and then became a preacher.

Most of us struggle to understand what we read on Tman...lol

Mark June has my respect!

I thought it was fairly easy to not read his long sermons. I thought he was okay when he talked trapping.

Compassionate man and knows his Texas trapping. I miss his posts. Never knew a preacher that wasn't verbose

I guess he FINALLY figured out this is the Jerry Springer of trapping sites, lol. I need all the Jesus i can get so preaching don't bother me. Rather understand that than how to catch a feral cat. Tuna fish oil is his secret in case you want to know. lol

Mark’s a good dude. Easy to talk to and I love Jesus so don’t mind listening to that part. I didn’t always but it hit me one day.

I have absolutely no idea his beliefs on requirements to get into heaven but I would just guess they were in line with what the Bible says. Its pretty clear. Accept Christ and Repent. Nothing more nothing less. No one deserves it and no amount of good works will be enough to earn it. Its a gift freely given all anyone has to do is believe and accept it.

He is tough skinned and has a tender forgiving heart ! In my eyes just the way an old time Christian needs to be.

Re: In Remembrance Of Mark June - 09/04/25 01:21 PM

Some of his posts got a little deep for me. I still read every single one of them. He had some outstanding posts on trapping and dealing with life in general. I saw him at the Michigan convention but was not able to talk with him. He's tougher than a two-dollar steak and one heck of a trapper. Still wish he was posting.

Mark is a great guy.

Online forums aren't for everyone.

They're like that Johnny Cash song about backstage at a Willie Nelson show

"There were wackos and weirdos and dingbats and dodos
And athletes and movie stars and David Allan Coe
There was leather and lace and every minority race.....
There were has-been's and would-be's and never-were's
Paupers, punks, and millionaires and me "

cool

Mark and I go way back to where we both were much younger men. I always found him to be experienced and friendly with all my encounters.

His faith is strong and I respect that. We all really need folks like him in our lives whether we want to admit it or not. I do think of him and hope that he is continuing a productive and happy life.

He's a good man, he added a lot to Tman trapping and otherwise. No one was forced to open his posts that I recall.

Re: In Remembrance Of Mark June - 09/04/25 03:00 PM

I always enjoyed his posts, trapping or otherwise. I think the forum in general has lost a great resource with his departure, which is a shame.
Whatever his reasons for leaving, they are his and his alone and I don't suppose he needs to justify them to anyone... but I do wish he hadn't left.

Re: In Remembrance Of Mark June - 09/04/25 03:36 PM

I tried looking him up on the user list a while back. Wanted to read a few of his trapping posts. Looks like he was deleted. Not sure why his would be deleted. His trapping posts were so full of great info.
If I'm wrong could someone point me in the right direction to read his posts. Thanks
