Alaska Dept of Fish and Game has recently produced a pocket guide with color photos, drawings and descriptions to help determine the age of your marten catch. You can classify it as a juvenile or adult. It folds out to be small poster size to hang on the wall for quick reference. Glad someone called them what they really are.
A 'pine marten' lives in Europe, not North American and is just one of the 8 species, world wide.
