I have never had a problem with mice. I build a box around my tundra for summer storage.

Mice have never been a problem, but i have seen a squirrel do $1000 worth of damage over one summer.

Lots of cute answers above, but the practical method is to get some mothballs. (Yes you can still buy them....)
Put a couple bags of them in strategic places along the seat and under the cowling.

A few good answers so far, thanks. Mothballs are an idea.
I'm thinking dryer sheets might work year round too.
