Thanks for the link Ken. I really enjoyed that. We spend a lot of time in the Prince William Sound and I really enjoyed the old cannery shots. My son has got quite a collection of antique trolling spoons. We each have forty foot boats. He’s crazy over old wooden boats but his is steel. He might be smarter than he looks!

I hear ya Steve. Something nice and warm about a wooden boat. But I'll bet your son does less maintenance on that steel hull than on a wood one

The "newer" wooden boats are quite a bit nicer than the old dugout canoes that W17 invented. After he got tired of paddling around on plain logs...

They weren't exactly plain....but they weren't planed either

Great old footage. Thanks for that. I always say I’ll own another wood boat when there are 13 months in the year. Hard to get insurance for them anymore.

Not sayin you’re long in the tooth Pete, but didn’t you come over on the Mayfllower?

And it's a good thing Pete got here when he did. Ken was getting bored. After teaching the indians a few tricks, such as how to make buckskin, and grow corn, helping them master long-distance communication using smoke signals, and the art of flint knapping, he was ready for some news of the Old World.

I'm just glad one of them had invented traps, women, and whiskey before I got here.

Well, I'm glad White kept at it, rather than giving up after Lucy.
