Maybe someone can answer this question.
Why is Juneau still the Capital of Alaska, when it is not on the Alaskan Road System ? Has it ever been proposed to move the Capital to Anchorage ?

I ask the same question. Anchorage can have it, as far as I am concerned.

Yes, it has been proposed several times. And money has even been allocated to connect it to the road system.
Thankfully, that money got re-allocated, as part of that highway was going to run right through my line.

I think the first time the State voted to move the Capitol was in 1974, the vote passed, I think it has been voted on at least a couple of time since then affirmatively; but nothing ever happens. I sure wish they would move all the greeners out of Juneau and lump them all together in Anchorage (or maybe Homer). I'd sure like to see them out of SE.
