So, if you order something from the Lower 48, how long is the delivery going to take, now ?

Depends on who is shipping it.

I ordered some parts from RockAuto and had them in a week. A lot of things from Amazon are taking close to a month. Stuff from Anchorage usually takes 7-10 days.

I don't see how it is going to get worse unless they stop service all together.

I don't really care since most mail is bad news anyway

But white, your at the very end of the system and dependent on aircraft for final arrival of product. Here in Fbks. Doesn't seem much slower.
Fairbanks now gets a daily, 7 days a week, amazon 737. There is whole building dedicated to sorting what arrives and getting it to the destination or the next carrier.

That's correct Mike. We only get two planes a week so that limits what USPS can move. Plus the PO is open just 5 days/week

We just sent some postcards from Seward to Michigan.
Sent 3 to different addresses.
Took from 5-10 days to reach michigan. All mailed in the same location.

Ha! Sounds like Alaska is getting quicker deliveries than the lower 48. I've got stuff I ordered this spring that hasn't arrived yet. When I parked my snowmachine this spring, I ordered parts to do a complete go through of it over the summer. Still waiting on some of them, and I was in my first snow of the year already.

What I have found is that it’s not the method of shipping as much as it’s the shipper dealing with back orders they are dealing with for their product!

I sent a box to Fairbanks last Tuesday. Tracking says it left Anchorage Thursday I think. Still hasn’t been scanned as received in Fairbanks yet.

All I have in limbo right now is Gusto, so doubt it will sit long in any one place.
