flag stop train

Has anyone used the flag stop train to get into areas north of Talkeetna? I thought that getting dropped of at a random stream to do some salmon or grayling fishing sounded like a good time. I was wondering if I did this if 50 other people would have the same idea or I would get off of the train and be staring a posted signs. Do you have any ideas for a remote get away on a poor mans budget?

I know that used to be a fairly common thing, but doubt it, now. The train would probably never get a full head of steam, if you will.
