I was informed today of the passing of Marty Middlestat last night of a heart attack. He was an active member of the Alaska Trappers Association and also a t-man member. He was 64.

Evening everyone,

This is Nick Middelstadt, Martin's son. I wanted to logon with my dad's account and thank all of you. My mother received the flowers from Trapperman.com. My mother wishes to express how beautiful the flowers are and how grateful she is for such thoughtfulness. My father loved trapping, taxidermy, hunting, fishing and everything outdoors with a passion. A passion which led him from the farming communities in Oregon to Alaska in the 80's where he settled down to start his family. I was lucky to join him the trapline and learn a great deal of animal processing from him. You guys are an incredible community and he loved every aspect.

He was an incredible father and grandfather. Please take care of yourselves out there. The Middelstadt family is wishing you all the best.
