Trappers,
I am discouraged that it seems like we do not have more interaction on this board, as it dictates the future of our sport. Just a gentle reminder that atleast once every year, every trapper should be sending his/her representatives a long email or letter detailing why trapping is important to them. Even the ones who don't agree with trapping need to get the same email or letter.
We are living in the moment where most of our representatives do not even understand trapping, the different types of traps, the benefits, or even the actual ecological benefit we provide by trapping. Although I am a beginner trapper, I am very well inclined with how the GOV works, comments, emails, and feedback play such a huge part in decision making. Even if you dislike the GOV help out by sending your state reps, even the ones who disagree with trapping an email detailing why it's important to you. Thanks!
