Waterfowl on the Wind

Once again, the month of October,
A black lab, and a stormy kromer,
A cup of coffee, a rusted out truck,
Howling wolves, they’ll bring us luck,
Here they come now, on the shirtail of a northwest wind
Through the autumn leaves they fly
Under a harvest moon we watch them come in
Their wings whistle in the early dawn sky
Stirring my soul....o how it stirs my soul....

Yes. I hear those whistling wings. Nice images.
