Wow that’s very generous Mr. Chagnon!

Re: FREE FROM LENON LURES - 08/01/20 02:54 PM

Asa Lenon is and was very generous to the trapping community and myself for many years. So it is the least that my wife and I can do is try to help promote trapping by trying to help the young trappers as much as we can. The DVD was filmed in the late 1930's (Originally 8MM transferred to Dvd) and is silent shows the founder of our company Herbert Lenon making both land and water sets, both Fall and winter, and I'm sure it will inspire many young trappers as it did me many years ago.

Re: FREE FROM LENON LURES - 08/01/20 06:46 PM

Is a 155 conibear big enough for raccoon? 160 is to big for land sets. Thank you.
Posted By: Bogmaster

Re: FREE FROM LENON LURES - 08/01/20 06:57 PM

A 155 is a 5x5 and a bit small for coon,a 160 is 6x6. You may want to go with the DP's or footholds. I believe you have a size restriction on footholds, and I also think they nust be covered with water.Water sets for coon are very effective.
Be sure to double check all your regulations.

Re: FREE FROM LENON LURES - 12/20/20 12:54 AM

I was wondering where to find coyote trails and if they stick to the same trails I'm located in Northern Wisconsin.

Re: FREE FROM LENON LURES - 01/08/21 07:30 PM

In Northern Michigan the path through the woods for power lines, rivers edges, railroad grades and deer trails are all good places to look for coyote and other canine travel.

Get your address to bogmaster to verify a new kid member and we will send you a Classic Lenon DVD and a lure of your choice. Tell you friends I wish I could give a lot more. I just wish more young folks get interested in the trapping tradition. Good luck.
