Some of y’all may not know this. It’s true I have kids and they are the best I could ask for. They look up at me with their big eyes and go MEEeeHhh. Yep I have 7 bottle goats!

Well the girls will stay and be new “girlfriends” for Amos the billy. The boys will go to the stock pen in May.

We lost a big sannan doe recently to pneumonia. We plan on getting 5-6 La Manchas and Nubians or a cross there of in February. The couple we got these from is in their 70s and just selling goats. So after Christmas they told us to give them a call and they would sell what ever. Best part is that he is a trapper!

Bout 30ish we have 8 acres of pure grown up crap that needs to be cleared and a big barn. My dad wants 20 more I’ll get a few because the goats are cleaning up so I can get moo cows!

My plans is steak! I really like Herefords! They like me I had one that decided we were friends when I went to get a goat! Angus are perfectly fine too. Just no charolias!

Cool, herefords are nice. It sucks that they're docked so bad around here. Probably not somthing I'll ever have to worry about tho, especially not if you know who gets into office. That'll be the end of my farming career if he does.

Yeah my dad had cows in college and had a holstine herford cross and she had a baby. Raised it got bread again maybe to a herford bull don’t quote me on that. It came time for her to give birth and her first baby was still nursing. Nine months old weighed 960lbs still nursing and didn’t even pull her down! She made all kinds of milk!

Yup. If I had milk cows I’d get brown Swiss or gurneys. Maybe jerseys but jersey bulls are mean!

That’s when I woke up I fed at 6:00. They get fed at 6:00AM 12:00 AM 6:00PM and 12:00PM

Yes, but that's not the suckage tho, what sucks would be having to feed 4 times a day. When I used to raise bottle calves I'd feed 3 times a day for a month and half and then twice a day for another month and a half. I hated feeding 3 times a day. It took up too much time. In the height of my bottle calf career I had 8 head on milk. I would get up at 5am and feed then go to work all day come home and feed. Then do things like bed, move calves. Treat sick ones. Move manure. Then I'd go to bed and repeat the next day. When I was feeding 8 head I was never able to feed 3 times a day tho, it never worked out so they got fed at 5am and 5pm.

Yeah baby goats are tiny they can’t hold much so they go hungry quick! The youngest 4 are getting fed 4x daily the older ones are getting fed 3x daily they are going to two in a week or two.

Yeah, the farm i work for feeds the really young ones 3x but mostly just 2x. However we're feeding around 300 head of kids every year

I dont even have to feed kids usually, I normally milk. But you'd have to deal with the cold and snow and I dont think a Kentucky boy could handle that

Believe me I would be fine with it! I hate hot weather! I don’t think a Wisconsin boy could handle 98* and 80% humidity! And it really does happen.

Yeah I know it happens, we get that here too. Just wait till you're inside a baler fixing it in that weather.

Rip Thumper. I just wanted to say a few words about our dearly beloved thumper, I may not have known Cary Grant had a cousin. I may not have known turtles can breath thru their butts, but I knew thumper like a brother. He was a friend to all and loved pizza, but in the end it was cherry sprite addiction that got the best of him. I know he's in a better place now, and hopefully sipping on sprite.

No that was a deer that got caught in the woven wire fence. We were back there so we were able to dispatch it and use the meat. That was on the carcass and Carl (the dog) tore the head off as a prize lol.

Well Casper we brought in 3 yearling does 75-100lbs today my dad bought them I ran a Pygmy doe to freaking nose bleed price and still didn’t win her. The ones we brought in are alpine fainter X we believe.
