Good deal and fur. Tell us how much fun it was skinning it. smile Get yourself some flea spray for your skinning area.

The fur was good, yeah it was fun skinning a stinky coyote smile

He couldn't have been too stinky. You were only a day after setting the snare and with the ice/snow in the background I'd say he didn't have any green belly going on. Just keep telling yourself that's the smell of money.

Guess you can teach an old dog new tricks. Lol way to go. Hope the run continues. Took me longer than a week to get my first.

Re: Beginners luck - 01/16/18 12:34 AM

I am so stoked about trapping, something I've always wanted to do, but never seemed to have the time. My grandfather was a trapper in northern Minnesota, and my uncle trapped for a living in northern Minnesota, just wished as a kid I could have gone with him.

Congrats. You’re doing much better than I have on my first year this year. I have caught some coon but I struck out on the K9. I learned a lot and hopefully next year will be better.
