sold to Grony today

sold to Grony today - 02/22/19 01:01 AM

For everyone's interest.
I had 12 coyotes, 19 coon, and 2 red fox. All green, not stretched and dried.
Red fox, $8 each.
Coyotes, range from $5 to $40. The 2 at $5 didn't look great when caught, but, hey, it's $10 more than I would have had. However, I had 5 coyotes I caught in late November that I sold on 11/29 to the Grony truck and 3 of those 5 also brought $40 each. No difference in December-January fur quality than November apparently. One of those low price Dcember coyotes was also off color red, not the usual color.
Coons, $1 (small coon) to $14 (these were 7 late season big coon).
On to beaver- otter when the ice and snow melts.

Thanks for sharing. I always do better on November coyotes. When December hits I usually pull everything because of deer hunting. The coyotes seem to go south when January hits in my area. The two I caught in the first week in January were junk. $14 on green coon sounds good.

Thanks for sharing! Thanks for the description on the fur sold too. Helps paint a more accurate pic. Sounds like you did pretty decent to me. Good luck on the otter and beaver!

Good luck to anyone else that has fur left to sell.
illinideer, too bad some of us (or get a tag) can't keep bobcats. Illinois DNR needs to realize how far they have expanded in the state.

Greg, our buyer told us he was not buying possums this year....sad... as most first year trappers(kids) might not be able to sell their first catch ever.
