This may have been asked before but I was wondering if anybody ever used dog scat. Just wondering because I have 3 scat is not a problem. I have thought about this before but thought it might spook a coyote or fox.

It won't spook them, woods and fields are full of dog scat. I don't think it would be a great attractant though. I have used cat litter at a cat set. so maybe....

Serious addition to this question, what about cat scat out of the litter box?
All new smells seem to cause a curious reaction. How close it gets them is another story

Neither one will spook them. It depends on the coyote. Dog urine has been used for years.

If you get snow in your area, or have soft sand, put out dog scat and see what tracks are made around it. I don't know about dog, but based on tracks I have seen, I consider fox, coyote, bobcat, badger, coon, and skunk scat to be interchangeable.
