Here in BC rats prime up mid to end of November and stay prime till about mid March.

I sold some may caught rats for a $7.00 average but like I say the market dictates primness.

I don't know why I asked the question (other than to instigate a battle royale between Boco and Beav). I keep getting stuck trying to drive my truck up to each set, since I'm too old to trudge through the salt marsh much any more...

Fact is they are near perfect during the most inhospitable time of year and some states wont even allow harvest then.
So let’s just say rats are prime whenever you can get them. After all they are just rats!

Cept of course, during the rearing and growing season.

When the fur is prime and when the fur is worth the most to the buyer are two different questions.
The ere may be a strong correlation between the two, but they are separate questions.
