How readily will coyotes swim small, deep open water rivers in winter? 30 yards wide 4 to 8 ft. deep depending on the weather.

Trust me they will swim if they want something on the other side. Like food or girls.. Or if their spooked.

I've had them wade in spring runs to get bait. They did not know they were suppose to step on the moss on the pan.

Now the big question is how do I entice them to swim across. When this water freezes (not gonna happen this winter) they cross and travel the ice regularly.

I don't think there's a good way to be able to entice them to swim across, Archeryguy.
