I call them half lams

I call them half lams - 09/14/20 10:40 PM

I've been playing with my longspring trap, trying to gain some closing speed. They are outside laminated regular jaw, nice traps just seemed slow. Thought about helper springs, but the springs on these traps are super strong.
So after some thought, this is what I came up with.

Anyone else try this
I used a 1/16" cutting wheel first, and finished with a 1/8 grinding wheel
Took about 4 minutes

Good looking trap. Do you cut your own pan covers . if you buy them where you get them.

Thats kinda cool if you have one trap. If you have 12 dozen, thats a lot of work. Even just cutting all those pan covers. grin

I cut my own. I lucked into a roll of rather thick screen at a yard sale.

I really enjoy tinkering with traps and things trapping in general.
I do have more than 1. Lol. A dozen takes about an hour.
And a dozen screens about15 minutes.

Looks good. Some guys put two springs per side on. Too much for me though.
