You guys have pretty much answered my questions about beaver snaring,I'm going to have to learn thru experience here what's going to work and keep it legal. Our regs say our snares must be set to drown, that could be kind of subjective.Would that include a beaver that wrapped up around a kill pole and drowned? That question will probably vary from CO to CO.I was looking for experience here to give me some idea on kill methods and how I could adapt them here and yous didn't disappoint me.Thank you
The only way I can kill 90 percent snared beaver is with a 4 foot snare on a drowner with a non relaxing lock. even then some don't swim to the deep end. some just sit on the bank and wait. Your spot on Buck, our cable regs suck, one CO enforces it ALL the next one could care less. Don't use a deer stop, I use BADs on all my cable tho.
