Drain pipe #110 Cubby video - 10/19/20 07:35 PM
I just uploaded a video on how to cut 6” corrugated drain pipe so it stabilizes a #110 in the mouth. Hope it helps someone looking to make an easy cubby.

FWIW, some of us use 8" so it can be recessed bout 8" to keep predators from the catch, when in shallow water.

Do you blend in the trap with grass and stuff? Just wondering if mink are leary to enter it with the trap so exposed.

I used them in the water. Many trappers have trouble with mink entering boxes on land but some have figured it out and are successful. I’m sure it won’t but to camo them. I’m hoping the marten and fisher guys expand on this idea and come up with something really slick.

I posted about PVC mink cubbies a week or so ago thanks for the info on pipe diameter trapperjohn .any suggestions on trigger wire configuration was thinking on planting the pipe in the bank with maby 2 inch's of water in the bottom thought about bending the wires into a t so it's hid some by the water

I won the Conibear Contest in The Teapper Predator Caller back I the late 80’s with this set. I received 6 Victor 220’s then. I worked for a Field Tile installer then and couldn’t see the waste back then and came up with the idea. After installing we would see mink and coon tracks lead up to them all the time. We put rodent guards on most so critters would not enter when checking them out. So when you baited one and put a trap in there it worked most of the time. I have even went as far as using 330’s under water in them on crossing with drain tile used as culverts.

this will work also with a 120 plus using a pair of tin snips is a little safer plus mink like field drain tile so you can convert a few in the field if needed
