What kind os scat is this?

I found this on a log on edge of Beaver swamp we have been trapping. Any body know what animal it may be from? It was about size of large peanut. Thanks

From the color, I would guess canine. I think beaver crap in the water. Take a sniff, that should tell you.

Kinda neat how that critter crapped right in the center of each white circle.

It looks pretty small I'm thinking muskrat droppings.

Muskrat poo log. Looks like a bunch mashed in a groove by the center circle. That's where I catch most of my swamp rats. A number 1 to 2 sized foot hold placed right on top should work. If the trap sits funny and ya need to make the rats move over it some Dobbins #1 or Hudson seal oil smeared on the other side of the trap will get the job done. I have 6 feet of cable on my rat traps & can usually loop it to the log at the set. If not cut a pole & the pole & lure can be place to make the rats go over the trap too.

It's muskrat droppings they use some interesting places for a toilet at time's.

Got some sets out around the muskrat scat we found. Hope we get some.

Definitely muskrat. Put a #1 long spring in that log and put the poop on the pan. Make sure you wire it to something.

A medium size muskrat!

No muskrats yet. We put out more sets today like you guys said. Also found a whole in bank with a bunch of green stems of grass sticking out of it. Set a 110 in front of it to see what happens.
