Favorite user traps that aren’t made anymore

What are some of your favorite user traps that aren’t made anymore?
Not necessarily collectibles but you would love to be able to go buy a new dozen to use out on the line?

KB 5.5’s would top my list, followed by the ol’ Montana #3 Special!!! If I run any of these that I have- I ALWAYS make sure they are in areas with a low probability of theft!

A couple certain models of the original montys.

Sooo many good models today if starting over I'd have a fortune tied up testing for "best".

Most of the BMI traps. At least I think there not being made, haven't been able to order any in over 2 + years.

I have some B&L #4 Jumps I really like, stout and effective.

I think we're all going to be saying the same thing about Victor before long

I’m thinking my favorite trap the Victor Montgomery #3’s are a thing of the past. I can no longer get a hold of the company for parts anymore and it seems what ever suppliers have left in stock is it. Maybe I am wrong, I am hoping so.

Helfrich 550s, B&L 1 1/2 Longs (The old style) and anything Newhouse. I also wont sell any of my BMI Conibears.

Pretty much any size of Northwoods. All I bought when I was in school years ago and still have them all plus a few more.

1½ stoploss.

Montgomery Trap Company traps - 220 size BGs (yes they made some copied after the V 220 right before they closed up shop, Not the 600 model!). ......... Newhouse traps - old cast jaw #1 LS's. I miss these as The Montgomerys were tough spring strength and inexpensive (still have 40 or so) and I never lost a water critter in the little Newhouse (still have 13 collectors and 3-4 users). Plus all the memories when fur was a sought after item. ........... the mike

This and any of the Newhouses. Newhouse was a better trap IMO, but if I was setting out a beaver line setting a bunch of traps in a day, I would rather be setting B & L, they were easier to set.

Slight modified from stock, but whatever gets in does not get out. A nice all around size for multiple species, too.

1 1/2 Victor pinch pan coils..Great mink trap.

The good news is most of what you all have named are still out there in great numbers.

I guess I’m the odd man out, hahaha….

I sure do like my Victor 1 1/2 longs on the mink line! If I could buy some new ones, I would really consider it!

I love the 4 that I have and it's even better that it has taken me 3 years to collect them. I would trade my new Duke or Bridgers for the pinch pans any day. I started muskrat trapping this year and almost every time I went to go check that trap it had a muskrat, so it's either coincidence or it's a good luck trap.

A trap the didn't get a lot of love imo but the MB 160. Killed a lot of coon in them and my fair share of otter in blind sets with them.

Ya, last I heard John was not currently making any and everyone is out of stock. Bummer, such a simple little coyote catchin trap.

The old #3 Bridger fully modified (from the factory) with the dog on design. Is my favorite bobcat trap. I still like the dog on design so I can set pan tension for cats.
I have no knowledge or experience with the new Bridger traps. Lucky for me I bought a bunch while the Montgomery family was still making my preferred ones.
Grahams #3 Montana fully modified for a coyote trap is my preferred with the dog less design. They came with a longer chain which keeps coyotes from pumping the stake out of the ground plus the dog less feature keeps from replacing or straitening the dog after a catch.

The true double jaw traps...

I still have a few Victor Pinch Pan 1.5 double jaws from when I was a kid but dont set them anymore. Have others that work well and just keep these for sentimental reasons. Caught a lot of rats and mink in them when I first started out.
