They will work well. Set them right in their trails so they have to run into them.
I don't think they are designed to work that way. My understanding is they are to reach into them with their paw, not run into them .
You place them in the exact track and they step right in them as they run into them. When they realize what they’ve done they go to pull their paw back out and get caught. You don’t even need bait that way. It helps if it’s wet and they’re high stepping.
