Hand forged removable pan bear trap owned by E.N. Woodcock author of Fifty Years a Hunter and Trapper of Lymansville (Coudersport,Sweden Valley area) PA Potter County. Kevin, I live on the West Branch of Pine Creek about 5 miles from one of Mr. Woodcocks camp locations. I was given the book by a friend and was immediately intrigued and set out looking for his camp locations and such being very familiar with the surrounding areas from having grown up and hunting the same areas I found most of the local sites. After about 10 years of searching and talking to several different collectors I was able to track down and purchase one of his traps.

Congratulations Ryan, That is a great trap and living and having hunted in the area is assume to have that conection.

That is awesome! That is like the holy grail of trap collecting for someone from Mr. Woodcocks' home area.
