Never heard of one either,it kind of looks like a Blake and lamb double under spring with a big pan put on but that's just my opinion.

After a little research it is a Blake and lamb double under with a small piece of screen over the pan,a live bait would be placed in the screen(likely a minnow or craw dad)and then the trap would be placed in the water where it was designed to catch coon, otter ect. The price for a good complete one without modifications is 300$ some one with more knowledge on the trap could probably tell you more.

It is a "Harmons Live Bait Trap" made from 1923-1928. There are a couple variations and this one is the more common wire mesh cage version with NO TEETH. Here is a link to Tom Parr's Site. His price is more than conservative and they are surely worth more than $300. For the sake of the seller on ebay I will not offer my valuation opinion as a common decency.
