The patina is a little strange looking. Looks to have been rusted up and then log wood dyed. The pan lettering is real crisp. Hard to find Kenwood pans that good. But what do I know.

The pictures in the listing are really dark. Hard to tell what you are buying. I wish people would post better pictures when selling high buck traps on Ebay. It makes it a lot harder to judge the condition.

The trap is good. Has markings at post and on top of the frame with the names. Springs have some stamping too. It's a good trap.

One of the nicer #5 Abbey's I have seen. It should go high.

So what happened? I don't see a final sale price or am I missing something? Or did it get pulled and sold off line?

I've seen numerous 25 35s yet only two Abby's. They might be rarer than the 25s and 35s

I thought that trap went very cheap. If the seller would have taken the time to put clearer pictures of the trap in the listing, as well as pictures of the spring stamps and the Abbey McLeod Pat on the base, I believe it would have hit in the $18K to $20K range, or more. $13,800 was a steal on that trap.
