Trap ID and value help

Friend was offered this. Pan reads “kodiak” on the top, “no 6” in middle with the 6 being underscored, and “bear trap” on the bottom with the “H” in the middle stamped out.

Guy asked 500, but I told him to wait until the crowd here set me straight.

Just my opinion, Somewhere close to the middle of those two numbers would be with in reason..
