Not my trap.. Just happened to draw my attention while viewing trapdog2003's stuff, so I snapped a picture.

Trapper Pete, to my understanding the owner of the trap may/will write and update/article in traps magazine (NATCA MAGAZINE), the owner knows Tom Parr well and no doubt IT will be a great article. What I do know is the clipping was from Wiley Carrol, who knew Frank Terry very well and Frank was very well connected in the trap collecting, trappers and lure makers world. The focal point now is the owner, written documents at the NATCA museum and other that collect paper. I do know that the present owner was very happy with the clipping from Wiley and that it bridged a gap in the time line.

Thanks for posting the added information. I do know the trap owner and he is currently gathering all the details about this trap. It will be a great story!

Thanks for the info henpecked1... I figured since it was not my trap or my thread, I would bite my lip. You summed it up perfect.....

Connecting the threads on our history and finding a collector, trapper or living relative to a part of history is pretty satisfying. Been working more on the contacts and writings of Frank Terry, he knew everyone. Visiting with Tom Parr and reviewing the letters that he has helps alot. Anyway we cannot lose site of our history and the collector is the key.
