#14 pan stamping

#14 pan stamping - 05/08/22 11:48 AM

I am only a collector “wanna-be” and don’t pretend to know much about them. Typically collect the traps that just strike me as interesting or different, some simply have sentimental value. I also know (because I check this site every day of my life) that if you gotta question, this is. The place to go. I have several #14 jumps with teeth and this one is the only one of the bunch that has this terribly stamped pan. 14 stamped twice….that’s it. Can anyone enlighten me? Maybe a cheap aftermarket replacement pan?

Did you look at the underside of the pan? sometimes the pan will get put on the pan shank upside down. The 14s that are stamped on the pan look to be stamped by a trapper, they are a bit smaller than normal.

Thanks for the response. There is no stamping on the underneath side either. The 14’s stamped on the top are stamped strong enough that they have raised the numbers slightly on the underneath side.
