Stop in and talk to the local agencies that get calls about animals, sheriff dept/911 call centers, city police, soil&water conservation, extension office/co-ops, the local farm/hardware stores that sell those junk cage traps.

For starters how does a trapper get a name like Alpha Backflow?

You can't just do one thing but a symphony of many things in unison together. You have heard the term don't put all your eggs in one basket. Invest money back into your business and grow it by having a real marketing plan. Now I may have thrown out a lot words but do more then one thing to drive business to you and keep yourself busy. Always do good work. Always ask for referrals.

New business's don't have name recognition so what ever you do think long term branding of your business. Get a logo and put it on everything.

Again I add . Always do good work. Always ask for referrals.

I have assembled several podcasts on marketing yes the free stuff can work but your gonna need more then that. I know your Lake County market! Some of that stuff in your market is work I do for a competitor of yours wink

A web site is a good idea but anyhting new that I or anyone created today may take months to work right (Google not me for New Domains Only) and its the peak of season now. Feel free to call me anytime if you have questions.

Very good work, for one day. Less photos of critters looking stressed in legholds. More text...have species specific pages. Nice banner photo at the top.

I agree with Dave about the animals in traps. That's good ammo for the antis and you may get bombarded with some "not so nice emails". Good content is much better than pictures anyway. Also, you might consider using the term "nuisance wildlife control" instead of "wildlife nuisance control". Great job for a day's work but if you're like me you'll make a hundred changes before you are happy with it!

Use a webform...instead of posting your email address. You are inviting spam.

I of course agree that showing animals in foot hold traps should be limited or more likely eliminated, even though the guys on here myself included can apreciate those photos, potential client probably will not understand the need for those tools, there is a great public stigma about foot hold traps and advertising their use may effect the responce you get from potential clients. I do really like the top banner with the different animalsstashed hare and there. One other thing I noticed that would greatly hurt my business in the areas I service- on your web form you offer to reply to potential customers within 48 hours. If I dont respond to someone within 5 minutes they have already called one of my competitors. The first company that speaks to a perspective client has the best chance of making the sale.IMO

If you are lucky they will leave a voice mail, but typically they will just hang up and call the next guy. A new web site will not place great, so most likely they are already going down the list and are sick of leaving voicemail's by the time they reach your site.

I would rename the work page with something like Animals controlled or removed. Think of how the people are going to look for help, they will never type work, but will type animal control etc may help a bit with you page rank. Your goal is to get your site in the top 5 on a search. I would also try to get very specific with the towns you cover on your homepage at least, area codes can also get you some work.

Thanks for sending me the info on the goose workshop Robb, awsome course just got back.
