Found it was in the toilet wierd and monster size to like new personal size record . Could you imagine if his wife or daughters would have sat down on that toilet in the mourning if the husband wouldn't have been on watch

Pesky W-T-F are you talking about? My best guess is you should tell your kids to flush the toilet !!

I guess that explains why men leave the seat up and prefer to stand.

Did you forget to include the photo or video Pesky.

I have seen two things in my life come up through toilets rats & snakes.

Considering you live near Detroit(where as a kid I remember monstrous rats) its probabaly a RAT!!

What is it a bat, rat, snake or remarkable turd!

I don't know how they get in the toilet but, I know how much it costs to get one out. smile

I have removed quite a few from toilets.

Of all the rooms to lock a bat into I think the bathroom is probably the best choice.

Must be a northern thing or just have not seen bats in toilets yet.
I am mega curious as to why bats are found in toilets !!

Are bats trying to leave bathrooms through the toilet or
are they coming up through the sewage plumbing.

Did all of these homes have septic tanks?

Next time I see one, I will ask it. Lol. I suspect that they just fall in...

That is a great question Robb.

I honestly think it is nothing more than the darkest spot in the bathroom. Most of our bathrooms have frosted windows so no need for curtains and nowhere to really hang if they don't have a shower curtain and instead have doors.

Have never found a baby in a toilet, its always adults.

EDIT: And they aren't in the water, they are usually tucked up under the ring.

I was also thinking the toilet vent pipe as a possibility !!

I run across about a 15-20 homes a year that have bats in the bathroom vent. Mainly because the exterior flapper doesn't close all the way and they've had the louvered attic vents bat proofed. Also it seems to be mainly vinyl sided homes.
Usually the indicator is droppings falling thru the fan cover into the bathroom. The fan covers are typically to small for bats to slip thru. I screen all bathroom vents regardless on our jobs to keep this from becoming an issue in the future.
I have found bats in toilets, just as I've found grey squirrels and flying squirrels in toilets. They fall in..get trapped because the sides of the toilet is too slick to climb out.
If I get a call for a critter running loose in the home...the first thing I do is close all the doors in the house EXCEPT the bathroom. The old toilet has worked on more than one occasion.

I think Rob was referring to the plumbing vent pipe, not bathroom exhaust.
