“Coyote~America’s Songdog” a presentation in Maine - 04/27/14 02:01 PM

Anyone have the opportunity to meet/listen to Dr. Vistein or know anything about her previous work in Montana? Giving a presentation on how we can "co-exist" with predators and wondering what the angle of her presentation is going to be...Hoping to catch it. In a previous article she was quoted as saying " ...she could support regulated hunting, with bag limits and a set season."

Do you know when/where her presentation will be?

A flask of your favorite adult beverage secured in a hip pocket is always a good idea when attending one of these "I love predators" presentations.

Have you checked their web site? We can’t post links to “anti” sites on this forum. The “national advocacy group” referenced in the article is probably the HSUS. Check your PMs.

If Ron is right, and it is the HSUS, that would be a two flask presentation, Trust me, I've been there.

She is part of "Project Coyote". They are no doubt an anti-trapping and anti-hunting group.

Google it and look at the website. I won't post the link here but I googled her name and all I found was anti type behavior sometimes hidden with the "I support limited hunting" talk that antis are growing more and more fond of using since the average person seems to not notice by "limited" they really mean no hunting or trapping.

If you do go to the presentation be sure to check your temper at the door. Me personally, I've heard all the coexistence BS before. The trouble with it is the coyotes don't hold up their end of the whole coexistence deal.

Can you imagine having a bag limit or season limit on coyotes?

I think that you should go. Understanding exactly what these protectionists are spewing is the best way to have intelligent arguments for our side.

She lost credibility when she said she uses puppeteers

Soft-air guns and puppets. That's a winning combination if I've heard one.
